Willie Dean Wady

Mr. Willie Dean Wady, affectionately known as Dean or Willie to his family and friends, departed this world peacefully in his sleep on January 19, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on May 29, 1941 in Liberty City, TX. He spent his final moments in Longview, TX, surrounded by the memories of a life richly lived.

He was preceded in passing by his beloved wife, Sarah. His legacy lives on through his daughter, Veronica Wady; step-son, Roderic Randall and wife Gretchen; granddaughter, Deja Lynch; and grandson, Melvin "RJ" Lynch, Jr.; step-granddaughter, Sharonica Phillips and her husband Gary; great-granddaughter, Dre'ya Gordon; and step-great-grandchildren, JaSean, Jayla, and Jaliyah Phillips, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Willie was a graduate of Chapel Hill High School. He went on to work at Welch Funeral Home for a remarkable 51.5 years.

Willie's interests were simple. He enjoyed tending to his yard, enjoyed watching tv, as well as times with his grandkids, who were the apples of his eye. Those who knew Willie will remember him as a no-nonsense and loving.

As we bid farewell to Mr. Willie Dean Wady, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a man deeply loved. He will be profoundly missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Willie's journey on earth has ended, but his story-etched in the memories of his family and friends-will never be forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 in the Cammack Family Chapel.
