Life Story
William Thomas Weaver, Sr. was born December 2, 1942, in Marshall, Texas to Glen and Gladys Mae (Chambers) Weaver. He passed away on April 16, 2023, at his home in Marshall.
He attended Marshall schools and then went to work for Dr. Pepper as a distributor. He later worked at Marathon-LeTourneau as a crane operator from 1970 until his retirement in 2004. He served his country in the National Guard for 22 years. He enjoyed fishing and the yearly camping trip to Lake O' the Pines with his family and friends. More than anything, he loved supporting his children and grandchildren by attending hundreds of softball games, baseball games, football games, and cheer competitions. His children and grandchildren recall that he NEVER missed a game.
He married the love of his life, Sandra Wood, in Marshall, Texas on October 6, 1961. They were married for 56 years until her death in 2018. The marriage produced five children: Tommy, Donna, Sherry, Sandy, and Steven.
He is survived by his devoted children: Tommy Weaver and his wife, Vera; Donna Weaver; Sherry Weaver; Sandy Weaver; and Steven Weaver and his wife, Keri; his adoring grandchildren: Jason Weaver and his wife, Maria; Chris Weaver; Dusty Weaver and his wife, Emily; Brooke Weaver and Stephen Kramer, Blake Weaver and Charlie Gallant; and Sara Weaver; his loving great-grandchildren: Zachary Weaver, Easton Weaver, Aiden Weaver, Remi Weaver, Beau Kramer, Cooper Weaver, Phaedra Babajan, and Ravenna Kramer. Sister in laws Mary Weaver, of Pasadena, Texas Bonnie Weaver of Tyler, Texas, and a large extend family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents, and his brothers, Joe Weaver; James Weaver; David and Becky Weaver, Sr.; and Benny and Donna Weaver.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at The Cammack Family Sulllivan Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Service will be on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at The Cammack Family Sullivan Funeral Home, with ,Pete Sellers and David Weaver officiating.
Interment will follow at Nesbit Cemetery, with Jason Weaver, Chris Weaver, Dusty Weaver, Blake Weaver, Stephen Kramer, Brody West serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brooke Weaver, Sara Weaver, Emily Weaver, Maria Weaver, Charlie Gallant, Zachary Weaver, Easton Weaver, Aiden Weaver, Remi Weaver, Beau Weaver, Cooper Weaver, Phaedra Babajan, and Ravenna Kramer.
