William Patrick McFerrin

William 'Bill' McFerrin passed away at the age of 75 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was a brilliant mathematician and spent much of his career in software engineering before pursuing his true passions as an educator and avid gardener. Most of all, he was a loving husband and devoted Dad and Pa. He was proceeded in death by parents Clayton and Doris, and is survived by wife Melanie, daughters Amanda (husband Adrian), Rachel (husband Chandler), Sarah (husband Trenton), sister Sue Richards, brother Steve McFerrin, sister Barbara Scott (husband Clifford), and seven grandchildren: Julian, Madison, Morgan, Wesley, Gemma, Willa, and Warren. Visitation will be held at Cammack Family Sullivan Funeral Home 100 E Travis St, Marshall, TX 75670 on Thursday September 25 from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring his memory with a charitable donation in his name to the American Cancer Society or St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
