Wanda Sue Perkins, known affectionately as Wanda to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, at the age of 91 in Diana, Texas. Born on April 10, 1934, in Henderson, Texas, Wanda was a beacon of love and gentleness throughout her life.
Wanda's early years were spent in the warmth of Diboll, where she was raised by her father, Lewis Sherman Harrod (PID), and mother, Lois Bernice Goins. Her life was a tapestry of love and dedication to her family, she lived out the remained of her life in Harleton, Texas a cherished community. Though she experienced the sorrow of loss with the passing of her father and mother, her daughter Betty Suzanne Barrington, her son Joe Paul Graham, and her brothers John Dewy Harrod and Sherman David Harrod, Sue's spirit remained undiminished, and her capacity for love only grew stronger.
Wanda's legacy is carried on by her beloved family. She leaves behind her son, Billy DeWayne Graham of Henderson, and her daughter, Barbara Lynn Payne of Harleton, who will forever remember her as the heart of their family.
