Vola Mineta Acuff

Vola Murray Acuff passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 88 in White Oak, Texas. Born on September 24, 1936, in Odessa, Texas, Vola was the daughter of Loy and Nedgie Murray.

After earning her associate degree from East Texas State Teachers College, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a bookkeeper, eventually retiring from Shipp's Marine. Her meticulous attention to detail and her warm, welcoming demeanor made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and those she served through her work.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Bell and husband Wayne, and son Murray Acuff and wife Crystal, as well as her son in law Randy Williams. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chelsi Bell, Brandi Spurger, Michelle Bryan, and Brandon Williams as well as her great grandchildren and great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Debbie Williams, and her granddaughter Ashley Bell.

Vola's legacy is one of unwavering love and kindness. Her gentle spirit and thoughtful gestures left a lasting impression on everyone she met. As we bid farewell to Vola, we reflect on a life well-lived-a life filled with joy, generosity, and an abundance of love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
