Tina Bivens Life Story

Tina Lynn Bivens, a cherished soul known affectionately as Tina, peacefully left this world on January 4, 2024, at the age of 66, with her beloved husband by her side. Born on June 20, 1957, in Marshall, Texas, she was a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown, where she also drew her last breath, succumbing to natural causes.

Tina's journey began as the daughter of Elton Lee Hudson and Bettie Lynn Hudson, and although she was preceded in death by her father, her step-father Jack Barber, and her mother, her spirit was nurtured by the love and values they instilled in her. Her early years in Marshall were filled with the joy of learning and friendships, culminating in her graduation from Marshall High School in 1975. Tina's educational journey laid a foundation for her nurturing character, which would become her defining trait.

Throughout her life, Tina was a beacon of warmth and care, dedicating several years of her professional life to the Merritt Plaza Nursing Home. There, she was not just an employee but a beloved figure who spent invaluable time with the residents, enriching their lives with her compassion and empathy. Her work was more than a job; it was a manifestation of her innate desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Tina's heart was full of love, not only for her work but also for her family. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 46 years and 6 months, , David Wayne Bivens. Their union was a testament to enduring love and mutual respect. Tina's legacy continues through her cousins Brett Taylor and Eddie, Tammy and Shane Schneider, Leesa Jones, Kerry Skinner, Kim, Sandra and Patti; and her step-sister, Gayle Boothe. Her memory will be cherished by her numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her brothers-in-law Randy Jacques, Robert Parker, and sister-in-law Terri Parker. The family bond was strong and will remain so, as they carry forward the love and lessons Tina imparted.

Tina's passions were a reflection of her vibrant personality. She had an eye for beauty, which she captured through her love of photography. Her hobby allowed her to freeze moments in time, creating lasting memories for herself and those fortunate enough to be subjects of her art. Tina's adventurous spirit found joy in attending car shows, where she marveled at the craftsmanship and stories behind each vehicle. Her zest for life also led her to the excitement of the casino, where she enjoyed the thrill of chance and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts.

Her presence was a gift to those who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt by her loved ones and the community she so dearly impacted. Tina's life was a portrait of love, service, and joy. Her laughter, kindness, and the photographs she leaves behind will serve as a comfort to those mourning her passing.

As Tina enters her eternal rest, she is also reunited with her sweet, four-legged fur baby, Lacy, who was a source of unconditional love and companionship. Together, they will continue their journey beyond the veil, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Tina Lynn Bivens will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a beautiful testament to the power of caring for others, and her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. As we say farewell to Tina, we take solace in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all the lives she touched.
