Thomas Louis Myszkiewicz

Thomas L. Myszkiewicz “Smith” went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Saturday September 26, 2020 at the age of 71. Tom was born on October 14, 1948 in Baltimore, Md. He graduated from Dundalk Sr. High School in 1966. After graduating he went to work for General Motors where he retired from and then moved to Texas to be with his family.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents John and Angeline Kleinsmith. He is survived by his wife Ruby, brother Bernie, and sister Charlotte Lily; Daughters Sheri Garrett, and Tammy Rogers; son-n-laws Bobby Garrett and Tommy Rogers; step sons Joseph and Keith Muir; Grandchildren Jacob Garrett and his wife Ashley, Caleb Garrett, Courtney Rogers, T.J. Rogers, and Jacob Muir; Great grandchildren Blake and Easton Garrett, and Isabella Maria Rangle.

Tom was a faithful Christian who served at Fellowship Bible Church in Longview. He enjoyed volunteering with Eight Days of Hope and around his community. He loved sports or any friendly game of competition. Tom’s favorite pastime was family gatherings where we would eat and play games for hours. He was a man who loved life, never met a stranger, loved food and could eat his weight in ice cream. Tom never forgot a birthday and was willing to help anyone who needed it. The way he ended every conversation with his family was “ If you need me I’m here”.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 6-8:00 pm in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 11:00 am at Fellowship Bible Church.
