Theodore Lane Jones, II

It is with broken hearts that we share the news that Lane passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2024, at the age of 30. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, and uncle. He was born in Longview, TX on September 14, 1993. Lane worked for many years at Best Buy as an Experience Supervisor while he obtained his degree in IT with TSTC. He was working at GAP in IT while continuing to further his education at UT Tyler. Lane was the sweetest soul, and he left a positive influence on everyone that he met. He was incredibly caring, compassionate, and quick to put other's needs ahead of his own. He enjoyed gaming, music, photography, and spending time with his closest friends, including his rescue dog, Sadie. He enjoyed spending time with his nephews. He bought countless Lego sets for Cason and shared gaming as a hobby with Trace. They have fond memories of playing the guitar, keyboard piano, and learning to ride a skateboard with him.

Lane is survived by his mother, Charlotte, his father, Theodore, his grandparents Bonnie and Claude, his sister, Kayla, and his nephews, Trace and Cason. In addition, he is survived by his closest friends who quickly became brothers, Alex, Austin, and Adam.

The memories we all have of Lane will forever be cherished. He was the best kind of person with a heart of gold and an infectious personality.

Services will be held at The Cammack Family Chapel of Welch Funeral Home on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. A time of Visitation will be held from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. All who were touched by Lane are invited to attend.
