Theda Ross Barron Hvezdos was born on June 12, 1916 in Ft. Worth, TX. In June she turned 105 years old and was called home to be with the Lord Aug. 28th. She was the eldest charter member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church. She found her ideal career as a school librarian at Mozelle Johnston Elementary School for 18 years. She loved books, children, and gardening. She had sparkling blue eyes and the sweetest gentlest laugh that felt like warm cocoa on a cold wintery day. She was so loved by her family, friends, former students, and community.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ross and Julia Barron, brother Preston Barron, husband Stephen Hvezdos, daughter Patricia Hvezdos, son Michael Hvezdos, son John Hvezdos, and granddaughter Melanie Moore.
She is survived by daughter Julia Tims of Longview, and son Tim Hvezdos of Longview; former daughter-in-law Shirley Hvezdos Fort of Conroe; five grandchildren: granddaughter and grandson-in-law Laura and Mark Moffett of Alexandria, VA, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Shannon and Jamie McDaniel of Tyler, grandson Ross Hvezdos of Cypress, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Angelica and James Palmer of Roanoke, VA, and grandson Jonathon Hvezdos of Longview; six great-grandchildren: Nicole Sabol, Kyle Tufts, Ashlyn McDaniel, Austin McDaniel, Jaxton Hvezdos, and Presley Hvezdos.
