Sylva Roane Ward

Sylva Roane Ward, age 85, passed away on September 2, 2023 in Waskom, Texas. She was born on September 13, 1937 in Sweetwater, Texas to Frank and Henrietta Chapman Roane. Sylva is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Ward; her sisters, Jane Patterson and Mary Searle and her brothers, Troy Roane and Landon Roane. She is survived by her sons, Steven Ward and Jim Ward; her daughter-in-law, Kim Ward; her grandsons, Christopher Ward, Cody Ward, Hunter Ward, Morgan White; her granddaughters, Sarah Parker, Kathy Storey; her great-grandsons, Tyler Ward, Carmen Ward, Talan Ward, Joel Parker, Jonah Parker and numerous other family members and friends who knew and loved her. Sylva worked for many years as a medical records administrator in the health profession. She attended First Baptist Church in Waskom and loved the Lord. She loved sewing and quilting and her family, but her true passion in life was her grandchildren and the time she spent with them. A memorial service for Sylva will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Waskom with Bro. Ivy Shelton officiating.
