Susan McNeil

Susan Erron McNeil, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 in Elysian Fields, Tx surrounded by her family. She was born December 12, 1941 in Shreveport, La to N.B. Murff and Ogaretta McLemore. Susan McNeil drove a school bus for Caddo Parish and was a substitute for Elysian Fields High School where she was known and loved by her students who called her "Granny". She loved her family and enjoyed going to church at First Church of Jesus Christ in Vivian, La. She was preceded in death by her parents N.B.Murff and Ogaretta McLemore, and her husband, James Ray McNeil. She is survived by her daughters Stacy Erron Farrell (Ottis), and Shayna Dawn Griffis (Michael); her stepsons, John, Marc and Damon McNeil; her grandchildren, C.H.(Brittnie), Shane (Brooke), Amber (Kevin), Shawn (Courtney); 13 great-grandchildren; her sister Gloria Smith; two nephews, Keith and Kirby and a niece, Sheila (Mike); and a host of extended family and friends. She was a long-time member of the First Church of Jesus Christ of Vivian, La where she was active in singing and leading worship. She was loved and will be deeply missed by many.
