Stanley Fielding Glenn, a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024, at the age of 90. Born on February 21, 1934, in Hilbreth, Nebraska Stan lived a full life marked by dedication to his family, faith and community.
Stan is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Glenn (nee Whitehurst), his sons Jeff Glenn (Debbie) and Rodney Glenn (Barb), his grandchildren Allison Henton (Jeff), Bryan Brem (Jill) and Eric Brem. He was also blessed with 9 great grandchildren including Bridger, Brooke, Olivia, Shawn, William, Calvin, Sierra, Briley and Elliot.
He served in the US Army spending a significant part of his service in the Panama Canal Zone and loved sharing memories of this unique and special time in his life.
Following his military service, Stan attended LeTourneau College where he furthered his education and prepared for a successful career. For nearly three decades, Stan worked at Southwestern Bell - AT&T where he earned a reputation as a trusted, reliable and skilled professional.
Beyond his professional achievements, Stan was a pillar of his community in Longview, Texas. He was an active member of First Baptist Church for over 70 years demonstrating his strong faith and dedication to service. Even in retirement, Stan continued to support his community, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
During his life, he created cherished memories with Bonnie visiting countries such as Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Holy Land. He also loved the fun-filled beach vacations along the Gulf shores of Alabama and Florida with his family.
He will be remembered for his good-natured spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and deep faith. His legacy of hard work, kindness and commitment to helping others will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, 209 E. South Street, Longview Texas at 11:00 am Saturday July 27th. (Ford Chapel) The family will receive visitors at 10:30am prior to the service.
