Sherry (Kile) Arthur

   Sherry Kile Arthur, 76, of Longview, Texas passed away Monday, November 12, 2018. She was born August 2, 1942, in San Diego, California to the late J.C. and Barbara Kile. She attended a number of schools in West Texas before graduating from high school in Rule, Texas in May 1960. She married Danny Arthur in January 1963. In her earlier years she was a congenial hostess for a number of block parties in her Longview neighborhood. Later she went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. For a lifetime of enjoyment she and a close friend joined the Country Patches Quilt Guild in Longview and quickly learned to make beautiful quilt tops.
   
She is survived by her husband, Danny; a daughter, Tracey Maples of Kilgore; and a son, Jay Arthur of Longview; three grandchildren Alec; Sean; and Kellen Maples of Kilgore; a younger sister, Jana and her husband, Marty Werthiem; and their son, Aaron of Dallas, Texas.
   
The family will receive loved ones and guests for visitation from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, in the Library of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel.
