Sheri Kaye (Wright) Nevil

Sheri Nevil was taken by flights of Angels, to be with her Lord and Savior on June 1st, 2023, along with her husband, Brad, as a result of an car accident.

Sheri Kay Nevil was born on June 7th, 1961, in Gilmer, Texas to Leonard and Reba Wright. She attended Harleton High School where she was on the drill team and played in the band. Upon graduating, Sheri attended Texas A&M Commerce, where she received a teaching degree and would ultimately meet her future husband, Brad Nevil. Sheri and Brad were married on September 4th, 1982, in Harleton, Texas. Sheri began her teaching career at Van Alstyne I.S.D. before joining Brad in the family business at Nevil Masonry Supply. Sheri was the life of every party she attended. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed working on her family farm. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and trips to the family cabin in Colorado. She was a member of First Baptist Church Van Alstyne where she taught Sunday school and vacation bible school.

Sheri was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Wright and is survived by her loving family which includes her two daughters, Lauren Nevil and Brittany Cox as well as Brittany's husband, Brandon Cox; and her three grandchildren, Riley; Sean; and Declan all of Melissa, Texas. She is also survived by her mother, Reba Wright; brother, Marty Wright and wife, Laura; brother, Rusty Wright and wife, Lisa as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive for a time of visitation of Friday, June 9th, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. A Life Celebration® funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 10th, 2023, in the sanctuary of Harleton Baptist Church.
