Seth Allen Hasler, known as Seth to his friends and family, was born May 29, 1977 and unexpectedly was called home to his Heavenly Father on April 19, 2025, at the prime age of 47, in Longview, TX.
Seth's one true love was none other than his beloved wife, Meredith, with whom he shared the kind of love that compared to no other. Seth raised his daughter Kaylee, who he affectionately called "Sug". She blessed him with his little sidekick and grandson, Kaden. He was also blessed to have a stepdaughter, Reese Mitchell (married to Chris), who added to his joy with grandchildren Nixon and Blair. His stepson, Cason Sloan, also played a role in his life. Seth's love for his family was as vast as Texas itself, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
The Hasler family included Seth's devoted mother, Gloria, who always sang his praises; his sisters, Shelly Cisco and Jessica Young, who shared in the laughter and love; his brother, Matt Hasler (wife Tatum) that shared his love for the outdoors and nieces and nephews - Chandler Cisco, Ryhann Arnette (husband Austin), Janson Cisco, Caleb Oden, Jace Oden, Jacob Oden, Chance Hasler, Tanner Hasler, Nathan Hasler, Tate Hasler, and Olivia Hasler. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. His childhood best friend, Brent Hordern (wife Tabatha).
Seth was predeceased by his father, John Hasler, and grandparents, Georgia and Jack Hasler, who surely awaited him with open arms and the best seats in the house.
A proud graduate of Marshall High School, class of '95, Seth never settled for the mundane. He worked a variety of jobs until he discovered his true calling as a pumper, checking wells with the kind of dedication that meant seven days a week. Seth was a man who took pride in his work, and his work ethic was as solid as his handshake.
Seth was an outdoor enthusiast who lived for hunting season and the tales that came with it. He was the kind of guy who could tell you stories of the one that got away or the trophy that did not. He also liked to try his luck at hitting it big, and while he may not have always struck gold, he certainly found riches in the laughter and memories he created with friends and family. Described by those who knew him best as a good ol' guy, kind, funny, thoughtful, and giving. Seth was the kind of man who could make you laugh no matter what. His humor was infectious, and his heart was as big as his smile. Seth's legacy is one of joy, generosity, and a knack for making the everyday seem extraordinary.
Seth's time may have come sooner than any of us wanted, but he left us with a million memories that will play on repeat. His life was an example in how to work hard, laugh, and enjoy life.
In true Seth fashion, we imagine him telling his final punchline with a twinkle in his eye, reminding us all to enjoy the great outdoors, cherish our loved ones, and maybe, just maybe, take a chance with a few tokens of our own. Seth Allen Hasler, you were one of a kind and will forever be a tough act to follow.
