Sarah Ann (Small) Roberts

Sarah Ann Roberts passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, January 4, 2021, in Longview, Texas. She was born on July 17, 1942 in Longview, Texas where she was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Judson School in 1960 and was a star basketball player during her high school years. She worked for Hallsville Independent School District as a library aide in the Junior High for over thirty years and was a faithful Christian and attended Woodland Hills Baptist Church.

The entire focus of her life was her family. She was a loving mother, devoted wife and the best Mimi to her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, decorating, taking road trips and shopping with her granddaughters. She was their biggest fan when it came to watching them play volleyball.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Joseph Small and Mary Kate Small both of Longview, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Bill Roberts, her daughter Lauree Roberts of Longview, her son and daughter in law, Tommy and Tani Roberts of Temecula, California, and her granddaughters Haley Boyett and Riley Rodiguez. As well as her brother and sister in law, Mike and Brenda Small of Longivew.

A Life Celebration® funeral service for Sarah Ann Roberts, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, January 9th, 2021 in the chapel of Welch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Friday, January 8th, 2021 in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank Heart To Heart Hospice for the care they provided Sarah.
