Sally Francis Oney

Sally Francis Oney gained her wings in Longview TX at Pine Tree Lodge in the care of Heart to Heart home health surrounded by her family on December 22, 2023, at the age of 81.

Sally was born in Marshall Texas in 1942 to Albert and Dollie Mae Cox. Sally is proceeded in death by her husband Charles Vernon Oney Sr, Francis Lynn Akins (daughter), Peggy Brown (sister) Suzon Talley (sister) Joe Cox (brother) Wendy Cox (sister) Jimmy Cox (brother) Joesph Akins (grandchild) LeeAnn Akins (grandchild) Harley Cox (nephew)

Sally was a home maker and helped her husband Vernon haul pulp wood, she worked as a florist on the side with her sisters for fun when she wasn't being the most amazing grandmother and mother to her children. She loved to hunt and sit on the creek bank and fish. Sally was the sweetest person she would help you in any way she could there is no amount of words to say how greatly she will be missed.

Sally is survived by her son Charles Vernon Oney, Jr and wife Samantha Oney, Sister Linda Childs, Grandchildren, Sandra Jacobs and husband Colton Jacobs, Chesley Oney and Amanda Sue Akins. She had a host of great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews that she loved all unconditionally.

Sally didn't want a big "hoorah" in her words. The family will be doing a private family service. In Lieu of Flowers Sally asked for donations to be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society.
