Ronald Gentry

Ronald Lester Gentry, of Longview, TX, son of D.E. Gentry and Eleanor Isabell Whitehurst Gentry, went peacefully to be with the Lord on November 7, 2025 at the age of 68 as his loving family stood by his side. He was born in 1957 in Denver, Colorado at Lowry Air Force Base.

Ronnie was a graduate of Longview High School. He worked in many fields but spent most of his time in security. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church in Longview and a faithful believer in Christ. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla Ice-cream. In his spare time, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, cousins and close family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, along with his brother Stephen. He is survived by his siblings Stanley, Doris, and Paula. He is also survived by his son Aaron and two daughters, Kelly and Chelsea, along with his two grandchildren Camryn and Sean.

His family is grateful for the professional and compassionate care he received from both Treviso Transitional Care and PrimeCare Hospice. There will be a celebration honoring Ronnie's life at a later date.
