Robert Paul Adams, a man of deep faith, endless generosity, and unwavering love for his family, passed away in Dallas, Texas on April 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.
Born on November 17, 1961, in Longview, Texas, Robert grew up embodying the values that would define his life: kindness, hard work, loyalty, and an unshakable belief in the goodness of people. He was the son of James "Chubby" Adams and Melba Adams.
Robert was a devoted husband to Kathleen and a proud father to his three sons: Kyle, married to Christy; Paul, married to Sara; and Seth. He was also a joyful and loving grandfather to Gavin and Alexander, who brought him endless pride and happiness. Though preceded in death by his brothers, Danny and Ronny, Robert's memory lives on in the hearts of his brother Jimmy, his sister Paula, his cousin Sandra Nugent, and a wide circle of extended family and friends.
A proud graduate of Longview High School's Class of 1981, Robert carried the Lobo spirit with him all his life-"Once a Lobo, Always a Lobo." He first served his hometown as a police officer with the Longview Police Department before finding another calling in the community through Robert's Coffee and Vending, where he worked as a lead technician. Known for his warm voice and magnetic personality, Robert also found a way to give back as an auctioneer, lending his talents to countless charity events over the years.
Robert's passions were many. He had a love for dirt track racing that ran deep, a family tradition he proudly carried forward, building bonds and memories at the racetrack that lasted a lifetime. His hands, always busy fixing, building, and tinkering, told the story of a man who found joy in solving problems and helping others.
At the center of everything Robert did was his faith. Through his ministry, 33 The Ministry, he promoted Christian concerts and events, sharing the love of God wherever he went. His faith wasn't something he kept private-it was a light that shone through his actions, his kindness, and his tireless commitment to others.
More than anything else, Robert loved being with his family. His grandsons were the light of his life, and the time he spent with them brought him immeasurable happiness. He created a home filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love-a legacy that will live on through generations.
Robert's life was a beautiful example of what it means to live with purpose, faith, and heart. His kindness, his laughter, and the strength of his love left a mark on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit, his lessons, and his memory will continue to guide those who loved him.
As we celebrate Robert's life, we are reminded of the power of faith, the strength of family, and the enduring impact of a generous heart. May we honor his memory by living as he did-with compassion, humility, and love.
