Raymond Hall Dickard, Jr.

Beloved father, cherished grandfather, treasured brother and friend, Raymond Hall Dickard, Jr., age 90, passed away on April 4, 2023 at his home in Marshall, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born in Marshall, Texas on August 28, 1932 to Raymond Hall Dickard, Sr. and Claudia Mae (Loyless) Dickard.

Raymond is preceded in death in 2017 by the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Nellie Louise (Lollar) Dickard; his parents, Raymond Hall Dickard, Sr. and Claudia Mae Dickard; his sister, Doris Hall; and two brothers, Frank Dickard and Charles Dickard. He is survived by his daughters, Rae Nell Walker (Chuck) and Deb Dickard Russell; his grandchildren, Stacie Greer (Mark), Steven McCarty (Krista), Jennifer Tamez (Leon), Trey Russell (Katie), Kyle Russell (Kendl) and one brother, Larry Dickard (Pat). He is also survived by many friends who were blessed by his life.

Raymond had a love of singing and playing the guitar. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He worked many years in the grocery business as Produce Manager, never met a stranger, always making sure he did just what his precious wife told him to do and enjoyed time with friends...but his true passion in life was his family and the time they spent together making memories. Raymond will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Service will be held at Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 2:00pm with Bro. James Fleet officiating. A time of visitation will be held immediately following the service. Private interment will be held in Noonday Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Russell, Kyle Russell, Steven McCarty, Leon Tamez, Mickey Dickard and Roy Williams.
