Phyllis Anne Williams, loving wife, mother, Nana, daughter, sister and friend passed away to join her Heavenly Father at the age of 63 on April 27, 2021. Phyllis was born on January 26, 1958 in Longview, Texas to Leon and Betty Wilson. She stole David Williams' heart and married him on May 27, 1978. They raised their family together both in Gilmer and Longview, Texas. Family was the focal point of her life and she considered her greatest accomplishment to be being a loving mother and grandmother. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she was a pillar of strength and spiritual light to all that knew her. Phyllis strongly believed her family would be together forever. She will live in our hearts and be our forever angel.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Williams; daughters Melissa Bailey (Craig) of Prosper, Texas and Michelle Williams of Longview, Texas as well as grandchildren Rachel Bailey, Russell Bailey, Rex Bailey, Rylee Bailey, Shilyn Solis, Eli Solis and Connor Gilley. She is also survived by her parents Leon and Betty Wilson of Longview, Texas; siblings Babette Neilson (Tom) of Layton, Utah, Beverley Menges (Ken) of Pittsburg, Texas, Danny Wilson (Lori) of Rexburg, Idaho, Lori Brevard of Lehi, Utah and Tamara Loy (Abel) of Gunnison, Utah; mother-in-law Peggy Williams of Longview, Texas, many nieces and nephews and a beloved best friend, Tommiesue Aucoin.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Enoch Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
