Patsy Sipes Life Story

Patsy Ann "Smith" Sipes a loving mother and cherished resident of Parkview on Hollybrook, passed away on October 13, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on April 24, 1937, in Gladewater Texas. She will be buried at Rosedale Cemetery in Gladewater TX next to her parents Edward L "Slim" & Rosa Lee Smith, husband James Henry "Cowboy" Sipes and bother Edward L Smith. In lieu of a traditional service, a celebration of Patsy's life will be held on October 26th, 2024, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at Parkview on Hollybrook in the Independent Living Dining room & Pub, this gathering will be a time to share memories, laughter and stories, just as Patsy would have wanted. All who knew and loved her are invited to join in honoring her remarkable life.
Patsy worked as a secretary, a role in which she excelled and took great pride. She was living and enjoying a full life and laughter with her friends at Parkview on Hollybrook playing bridge, 42, solving puzzles, joker, and other exciting activities, sitting around visiting and just hanging out eating coke floats with friends all which brought her immense happiness and many wonderful friendships and memories.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James Henry Sipes, her parents Edward Lamar & Rosa Lee Smith, her brother Edward L. Smith and her sister Marie Clinton. Patsy is survived by her son Ricky Lee Sipes and his wife Jamie of Longview, Tx. Her Daughter Cynthia Elaine Walters and husband Ralph of Longview, TX. Granddaughter Lisa Rabourn and her husband Sammy along with their daughters Raven and Savannah. Granddaughter Shanda Lee Ann Jackson and her husband Christopher, along with their sons James, Henry and William. Granddaughter Theresa McDaniel and her husband Jerry. Great Granddaughter Heather Newlin and her husband Ryan along with their son Logan and Daughter Jade. Granddaughter Regina Archer and her husband Tim. Great Granddaughter Madi Allen and her husband Clint.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a monetary donation be made in honor of Patsy Sipes to First National Bank of East Texas 1699 West Loop 281 Longview, TX 75604 (430) 625-3996 to go toward the purchase of a beautiful family headstone.
