Patsy Hill Life Story

Mrs. Patsy Ruth Hill, age 90, of White Oak, TX passed away Monday, December 4, 2023. She was born in Celeste, TX and her parents were the late Harold M. and Nettie Black. Patsy was also preceded in death by her husband Boyd Wesley (Chubby) Hill, who she was married to for 68 years.

Patsy is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Ann Hearron (Don) of Longview, TX; Pamela Jo Minor (Richard) of Smyrna, TN; and Barbara Lee Fergus (Steven - deceased) of White Oak, TX, four grandchildren, Bryan Hearron (Jennifer), Amy Jo Hearron, Christi Tittle (Chris), Morgan Nelson (Jace), seven great grandchildren, Connor Hearron, Nate Hearron, Nory Mae Hearron, Tanner Tittle, Tucker Tittle, Trista Tittle and Luke Nelson.

Patsy (who was lovingly known as Nana by all of the kids) was a wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. After she raised her daughters, she started a day care from her home in the early 1970's and continuing through the 2000's. After her husband retired, he helped her with the children.

She was a member of White Oak Baptist Church. Patsy enjoyed cooking and baking. People loved her peach cobbler and pies (chocolate, pecan & caramel were some of the favorites). She loved to mow, garden, sew and especially spend time with her family and friends. Patsy was a dog lover and had several through the years.

A time of Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Welch Funeral Home in Longview, TX. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
The Hill family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Summer Meadows Assisted Living, Prime Care Hospice, and a very special thank you to Skylar Hart for their loving care of Mrs. Patsy.
