Patricia Perkins Life Story

Patricia Carolyn Rinchuso Perkins, a beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024, in Longview, Texas, at the age of 75. Born on July 1, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Patricia's life was a testament to the power of unwavering love and dedication to family. Patricia's journey through life was one marked by joyous celebrations and the cherished company of her beloved husband of 36 years, Eddie Perkins. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter. She was a devoted mother to her children, David Shaw and his wife Christie, Carrie Roberts, Edward Perkins, and Ashley Barbo and her husband Michael. Patricia's role as Nana was one she embraced with every fiber of her being, always ensuring she was present for the milestones and everyday moments of her grandchildren, Lacy Self, David Shaw, Keeton Shaw, Corey Roberts, Kyle Roberts, Zachary Perkins, Summer Collins, Maci Barbo, and Autumn Barbo. Her great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Karston, Kaison, Jaycee, Carmen, Aurora, Winter, Cecil, and Adley, and her great-great-grandchild, Weston. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia Rinchuso Smith and her sister-in-law, Rose Rinchuso whom she cherished, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly. All held a special place in her heart. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Carrie Rinchuso, her sisters, Josephine Shropshire, Ann Knight, Margaret Little, and Frances Young, and her brother, Leon Rinchuso, Patricia's legacy of love continues to live on through her family and all who knew her. Patricia's life was characterized by her loving nature, her thoughtful gestures, and her selfless demeanor. She was the kind of person who would light up a room with her presence and fill it with warmth with her kindness. Her interests were simple yet profound, centered around the well-being and happiness of her family. She never missed an opportunity to be involved in her grandchildren's lives, attending every event with enthusiasm. Her support was unwavering, and her pride in their achievements knew no bounds. Dining out with family and friends was one of Patricia's favorite pastimes, along with grabbing a cup of Starbucks coffee, which was often accompanied by hearty laughter and memorable conversations. These moments were not just about the food or the drink but about the connections she cherished and the memories she created with those she loved. She was the kind of person who taught by example, showing what it meant to give without expecting anything in return. Her actions spoke volumes of her character, and her legacy is one of unconditional love and selfless service. Patricia's life will be honored and remembered. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the love she spread will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we bid farewell to Patricia Carolyn Perkins, we celebrate a life beautifully lived, and a heart generously shared. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and her spirit will forever be a part of the lives she touched. Patricia's family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her parents, siblings, and all those who preceded her in death.
