Official Obituary of
Patricia A. Holder
October 19, 1944 ~ December 15, 2023 (age 79) 79 Years Old
3 Flowers or Condolences have been shared with support of Patricia's family - View on Tribute Wall
Patricia Ann Holder was born on October the 19th, 1944 in Bremmerton Washington to Margret Lucille Terry (later remarried as Young) and Harold James Terry, then U.S. Navy. Patricia was most close to her step-father, Darl Holder who raised her as his own.
Patti passed away on December 15th, 2023 at her home in Karnack Texas.
Pattie is preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth Holder of Karnack Texas, by her parents Margret Young and Darl Young of Riverside, California, and her Brother Edward Young.
She is survived by sons Darl James Holder, and Kenneth George Holder, his spouse Laura Wykoff Holder, grandchildren Denise Chantel Holder, Tierney Christena Hudson, Kenneth Santiago Holder, Elizabeth Marie Holder...and numerous great-grandchildren, numerous close friends and friends of Bill that she dearly loved.
According to her specific and express wishes, no memorial service will be held, and her ashes will be spread privately by her children. That is organized by her family at her Strict request. In her honor if anyone would l Like to make a donation in her honor to alcoholics anonymous or narcotics anonymous... This would greatly honor her.
Pattie met and married Jim Holder in San Diego in 1967 where she trained and worked as a hairdresser. They moved to Jim's home state of Louisiana where she concentrated her life around raising her boys, volunteering at numerous church ministries, at the Catholic school where her boys attended, and filled in as cub scout leader, Weblos leader for our community, and later began working for Saia Motor Freight in Shreveport as a skip trace clerk while supporting her husband through his law enforcement career.
Pattie and Jim moved to their dream place in Uncertain Texas on Caddo Lake and immediately found their happy place forever where she and Jim hosted charity fundraisers and fish fry for every needy cause that their neighbors had.
After the passing of her husband and s serious cancer scare, Pattie became a friend of Bill and her entire life revolved around helping others find serenity and strength together in the struggle for sobriety.
Pattie passed gently in her sleep, in her own bed, after a week that was full of energy and amazing stamina....so although she had been ill for some time...this came as a shock.
Her sons wish to express our deepest condolences to all who knew and loved her, and we are also sad that she sternly forbade us to organize and sort of memorial, so we are sadly going to honor her wishes...and celebrate her life quietly.
Pattie loved the Church of Uncertain and all of her friends there who accepted her...Just as She Was....just like Jesus...so her sons wish to thank that wonderful congregation that was always Jesus to her!
