Freddie went into the arms of our Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. She was born in Houston, Texas on November 16,1939 to Florence (McCarron) & Fred Moores.
On September 10,1959 she married James C. (Jim) O'Bryant. The couple shared almost 52 years of marriage before Jim's passing in 2011. Together, they raised 4 children: Tim, Chris, Shannon & WIlliam.
In her younger years, she worked at a movie theater and as an elevator operator. Upon having their children, Freddie was a stay-at-home Mom. She was very active in the schools with volunteer work, the PTA & scouting. In her later years, she worked at both the Dairy King & the Dairy Queen as well as the Hallsville Herald. She retired from Stemco and became very active in the family box business, Century Corrugated Container.
Freddie enjoyed various past times; traveling, camping, scrapbooking, reading and dancing. She had a giving heart which led her to volunteer work with HISD Band Boosters & Athletic Boosters, Longview Interfaith, Hallsville Outreach Center & Light up the Park. She was the ornament lady at Santa's Workshop every year.
Freddie never met a stranger. She always had kind words and a smile to offer - for everyone!
She really enjoyed her Taco Tuesdays at Dairy Queen - lunch with friends and dinner with the grands and great-grands.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents, her in-laws, her son James T. (Tim) and her sisters - Ann Kitay & Caroline Dickens.
Those left to cherish her memory are Chris Brogan (husband-Chris), sons Shannon (wife-Julie), William (wife-Vickie), 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Walgama, Marjorie Tucker, Michelle Berry, Traditions Home Health & Heartsway Hospice for all of their support and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Hallsville Outreach Center would be appreciated.
