Marjorie McMaster was born Marjorie Mariam Kirk on December 19, 1928 to Rufus and Luceille Kirk in Cerrogordo, Arkansas. She passed from this life into her Savior's hands on June 16, 2025.
At an early age her family moved to the town of Horatio, Arkansas where she grew up with her brothers France, Gerald, Harrell, Roger and James who all preceded her in death.After high school Marjorie moved to Longview ,Texas where she enrolled in business school and met her soon to be husband Kenneth McMaster. Marjorie and Kenneth would spend the remainder of their lives in Longview where they had two children, Kirk and Michele who both remain alive today. While in Longview Marjorie would work as office manager at two different dentist offices while also handling office work for Kenneth's private business. Both Marjorie and Kenneth were dedicated Christians who served their Savior at First Baptist Church of Longview, Macedonia Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Hallsville and Oakland Heights Baptist Church. In their later years they spent much time playing dominoes and taking weekend trips with many of their friends from these churches.
Marjorie leaves behind her two children Kirk McMaster with his wife Gayla and Michele Gregg as well as her grandchildren Dillon McMaster, Sean McMaster, Haley Gregg Tate and Taylor Gregg as well as great grandchildren Logan Tate and Mason Snow. Marjorie was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Miranda Gregg Mayes.
As a compassionate servant for the elderly and a servant to many Marjorie will be deeply missed by the many people she came to know and love.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Cammack Family Chapel with a service to follow, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Wayne Norvell officiating. Please enter the service using the rear entrance and not the front entrance due to the remodeling of the funeral home.
