Kathryn Roberson Life Story


Kathryn Ann Roberson, born on October 22, 1942 to Clyde and Ola Mae Denson, passed away peacefully at her home in Spring, Texas on January 15, 2020 after a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Kathryn was raised in Spring Hill, Texas. From an early age she had a passion for music and dance. She participated in dance lessons throughout her school years and in high school she was a majorette as well as played the drums in the band. After graduating high school, she went on to Kilgore Junior College where she pursued her love of dance and became a Rangerette.
Kathryn worked for Foley's in Pasadena, Texas for over 30 years. She was an avid sports fan and a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Golden State Warriors.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ola Mae Denson, and her brother-in-law, Tony Mirenda.
She is survived by her sister, Carldeen Mirenda; three children: Mark (Heather) Roberson of Waxahachie, Texas, Wes (Aimee) Roberson and Dena (Danny) Cornell of Spring, Texas; ten grandchildren: Amy (Jeff) Messina, Lindsay (Kiki) Garza, Laura Roberson, Ryan (Lori) Roberson, Hunter Roberson, Kaitlyn (Dustin) Gann, Samantha Bowker, Madison Gough, Payton Williams, and Clayton Petty; seven great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
A personalized visitation will be held Monday, January 20, 2020 in the Garden Court of Welch Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m. with a Life Celebration funeral services to be held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in the Chapel of Welch Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Wayne Norvell officiating.
Attending as pallbearers will be Ryan Roberson, Hunter Roberson, Jeff Messina, Kiki Garza, Dustin Gann, Trey Mirenda, and Ted Wendt.
Kathryn will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
