Katheryn Rogers Life Story

Katheryn Kuykendall Rogers, "Murhh," went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 22, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born to Jim Cannon and Katie Goad Kuykendall, August 3, 1935, in Tatum, Texas. She enjoyed playing the French horn in the band and was also in the Flag Core.

August 30, 1954, mother married James Ray Redding in Tatum, Texas at the First Christian Church. They had three children together, Kathy Renae Smith (Van who preceded her in death), Ricky James Redding (Teresa Simons), and Lisa Rachelle Redding (Ray McGrede). January 1, 1978 she married Harry A. Marshall at Central Baptist Church, Marshall, Texas who proceeded her in death. In 2010 she married Randall Rogers at Immanuel Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas who also preceded her in death.
"Murhh" enjoyed her grandchildren, Doug (Rhonda) & Jared Smith, Josh (Laci) & Zack Redding (who preceded her in death,) and Ashton & Levi (Elba) McGrede. She loved visits from her great grandchildren Hunter & Skylar Smith, Cannon Redding and "the babies" Emma Redding, and Delilah & River McGrede.
Mother was one of nine children, six preceded her in death: Robert, Albert, John, Mozelle, Mary, and Harold. Surviving sisters are Linda Kelley and Jane Aikin and one sister-in-law, Patsy Kuykendall. To these brothers and sisters were born 14 nieces and nephews.

Mother was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for several years. She loved her church and small groups. She was a past member of Harrison County Medical Assistants, American Business Women's Association, and various church committees.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Cammack Family Directors of Funerals. Visitation will be Monday, May 26 from 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held On Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel.

The family would like to recognize Ryan Reese who welcomed our mother to Marshall Manor and watched over and encouraged her. The staff at Marshall Manor Nursing A-Wing treated our mother with the utmost care and compassion.
