Be the first to offer your condolences on Judith's Tribute Wall
Judith Loraine Campbell, affectionately known by all as Judy, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, at the age of 81 in Marshall, Texas. Born on May 6, 1944, in Hemet, California, Judy was the embodiment of warmth and generosity, touching the lives of all who knew her.
Judy's life was one of devotion and love, especially to her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Arthur Campbell, Jr., her cherished son, Michael Lee Campbell, and her caring parents, Olen D. and Mary Delilah Brown. Her spirit is carried on by her loving daughters, Ladonna Chochos-Wood and her husband, Don, and Amanda Rene Pannkuk and her husband, Tim. Judy's role as a grandmother was one of her greatest joys; she adored her grandchildren, Brittany Rose Payne and her husband Cory, Robert M.C. Chochos, Jr., Alyssa Paige Dover and her husband Luke, and Benhardt Wesley Pannkuk. Her legacy continues to bloom through her great-grandchildren, Ayden Wayne Lewis, Xander Ryan Payne, and Jolee Ray Payne. Her brother, Lewis Thompson, along with numerous other family members, will hold dear the memory of her kind and nurturing spirit.
Judy's life was a testament to her commitment to family and community. As a stay-at-home mother and wife, she played a significant role in the upbringing of many children. Known for her strict yet loving discipline, Judy's influence shaped the lives of those she guided. She was a jack of all trades with a passion for interior design, painting, and decorating, which was evident in the beauty she created around her. Judy's love for reading, music, and the stories behind songs enriched the lives of her family and friends.
Her generosity knew no bounds. Judy was a great listener with a gift for offering a willing ear, a soft response, and a practical solution to any problem. Her affinity for animals was clear to all who knew her-she loved "critters big or small" and took great joy in working in her yard, cultivating her beautiful flower beds.
Cooking was another of Judy's talents, and she relished the opportunity to prepare hot, home-cooked meals for her family and friends. Whether it was for a busy household or simply to express her love, Judy's kitchen was a place of warmth and nourishment. Above all, the true passion in Judy's life was her husband, Robert. Their love story was one for the ages, living, laughing, and loving every day they spent together over 40 years until his passing in 2002.
Judy's life was a tapestry of love, care, and selfless dedication. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the gentle strength that characterized her life. Judy's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were graced by her presence. The family respectfully requests that you please consider a donation in Judy's memory to Mission Marshall in lieu of flowers.
