Joyce Anita Standard, 82, went peacefully to her eternal home on March 16, 2022. Services will be held Saturday, March 19, at The Cammack Family Welch’s Funeral Home in Longview. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am followed by the service at 11:00 am with Rev. Wayne Spanhanks officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M. at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing, Texas with James White, Jimmy White, Logan White and Landon White serving as pallbearers.
Joyce was born November 20, 1939 in Arp, Texas to Garland and Allie Mae Wallace. She attended Henderson High School and spent most of her adult life in Longview, Texas. In 2016, she retired as a bookkeeper for JW Electric.
Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends, playing cards and dominos, and dancing. She enjoyed nature, flowers, and feeding her birds. She was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Johnny Lummus, by her children Deidre and husband James White of Longview, James Standard of Oregon, and Tammy and husband Jimmy White of Longview, grandchildren, Logan and Olivia White of McKinney, Landon and Allison White of Longview, Savannah Howell of Henderson, and Cierra Standard of Oregon, and great grandson, Elijah White.
She is preceded in death by her parents Garland and Allie Mae Wallace and brother Bob Wallace. The family would like to express their gratitude to Heartsway Hospice and her caregivers Sharonda, Rita, and Kay.
