Joe Watson Life Story
Joe Anna Gillespie Watson age 85 of Kilgore, Texas passed into Jesus’s arms April 14, 2021. Joe Anna was born on April 25, 1935 in El Dorado Springs, Missouri to Guy T. and Blanche Irene Offield Gilliespie.
She enjoyed: cooking, quilting and her flower and veggie gardens. She will always be remembered as “Nanny”.
Joe Anna is survived by her daughter Sheila Dawn Smithwick (Carl Alan) of Kilgore; Brother-In-Law Steven George Chambers of San Jose, Ca.; Niece Jennifer Joel Chambers of San Diego, Ca.; Three Granddaughters Misty Marie Sorrells of Camden, Ar. , Brandi Jo Smithwick (Kimberly Ann) of Monroe, La., Terri Nicole Boring (Michael Lynn II) of Kilgore; Six Great Grandchildren Sydney Shayne and Wilton Phillip Sorrells of Camden, Ar., Jacen Wayne and Jaina Nicole Smithwick of Monroe, La., Christian Coulter Boring of Waxahatchie, Tx. and Taylor Dawn Boring of Kilgore.
She was preceded in death by her mother Blanche Irene Anderson (Hermit) and her father Guy T. Gillespie, Sister Jetta Jean Chambers, Nephew Steven Todd Chambers.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478
