Jimmy Mohr Life Story

Jimmy Ray Mohr Jr, 38, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 near his home in Spring, Texas.
Jimmy was born on December 12, 1980 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to Jim and Darlene Mohr. He graduated from Hallsville High School in 1999. He then went onto college and received a degree in Electrical Computerized Control Systems & Robotics Technology from Texas State Technical College in Marshall, Texas in 2001. He worked a few jobs before starting his career with Enbridge Energy shortly after graduating college. In 2010, Jimmy moved to Houston to further his career with Enbridge Energy taking a position as a Gas Systems Controller. While in Houston, he married his former wife Caryn Mohr and they started a family raising their two boys Joshua and Matthew.
Jimmy had a passion for playing his guitar and drawing in his spare time. Some of his favorite hobbies included riding his Harley, golfing, and fishing. He enjoyed learning new things and sharing his knowledge with those he surrounded himself with. He loved having a good time whether it was going to listen to live music, visiting a beach somewhere, or just hanging out with friends and family. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Jimmy is survived by his two sons, Joshua and Matthew Mohr of Houston, Texas; parents, Jim and Darlene Mohr of Hallsville, Texas; grandparent, Dorothy Kearbey of Longview, Texas; siblings, Tina Youngblood of Hallsville, Texas and Kelly Clanton and her husband Kasey of Longview, Texas; along with 3 nieces, 2 nephews and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Maudie Mohr of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Thomas Kearbey of Longview, Texas; 2 nephews and other beloved family members.
A Life Celebration visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday December 20th at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Rd, Longview, Texas 75605. All friends and family are welcome.
