Jerry Michael Ivy

Jerry Michael "Mike" Ivy, 79, of Longview passed away peacefully at home Thursday, January 19th, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Mike was born October 14, 1943, in Naples, Texas to Jesse and Ruby Ivy. Mike was a veteran having served in the Vietnam War. During this time, he was awarded multiple commendations for Meritorious Achievement while participating in aerial flight. His family was proud of his dedication to service of our country. Mike married Patricia Ann in 1971, this March would have been their 52nd anniversary. Mike was an avid lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being surrounded by the scenery of nature and its wildlife. Mike has the ability to crack a smile on someone's face with his clever wit and humor.

Mike will be missed by his wife, Patricia Ann Mathews Ivy of Longview. Sister, Nancy Ivy Mobley of Longview. Son, Rick Carter and wife, Rhonda of Longview. Daughters, Tonia Anderson of Longview, Kerry Driskell and husband, Dennis of Henderson. Grandsons Collin Wise and wife Lindsey of Diana. Nicholas, wife Anna of Gilmer. Mason Anderson of Longview. DJ Driskell and wife Annalyn of Lindale. Granddaughter Kyndal Jennings and husband Parker of Longview. Great grandchildren Parker, Riley, Ansley, Karter, Ella and many loved ones.
