Jerry Hollingsworth Life Story
Jerry Roy Hollingsworth was reunited with our Heavenly Father on March 16, 2024, at the age of 76. He was surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Jerry was born August 7, 1947, in Jacksonville, Texas to Roy and Louise Hollingsworth. A graduate of Longview High School. Jerry served in the United States Navy and fought in the Vietnam War.
He loved to laugh and always had a smile for everyone. If he wasn't watching the Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers then he could be found watching one of his grandchildren at their sporting events.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Louise Hollingsworth and sister Barbara. Jerry is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Hollingsworth, daughters Tina and husband Scott Hinton, Holly and husband Mack Simon. Brothers Robert Hollingsworth, James Hollingsworth and wife Autumn, and sister Kay Mason. Grandchildren Justin, Jerry, Alyssa, Austin, Ashley, Adrian, and many more great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
In his memory, let us cherish the moments we shared, hold dear to the lessons he imparted, and continue to live in a way that honors his remarkable spirit.
A Life Celebration Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at The Cammack Family Chapel of Welch Funeral Home, Longview, Texas. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Welch Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m to 10:00 a.m.
