Jeanne Marie (Johnston) Payne

Jeanne Marie Lord Madeley Allee Payne passed away quietly at home on Monday, June 16th, 2025, after 89 years here on Earth.  Born in Houston, Texas, on December 21st, 1935, she graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston in 1954.  She worked in data entry at United Salt Corporation before moving to Marshall, Texas, in 1978. 

Jeanne was a member of New Marshall Christian Church and had a significant role in the Trust Department at First National Bank of Marshall where she became lifelong friends with her fellow Christians and many of her co-workers.  After retiring in 2001, she enjoyed gardening and traveling whenever she had the opportunity. 

Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Eugene Payne and three of her five children:  Stephen Lynn Allee, Gary Wayne Allee, and Rory Glenn Allee.  She is survived by:  her son, Curtis Lee Allee, and his wife, Joana Marie Allee; her daughter Rebecca Jean Allee; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Her journey here has ended, and she's now been reunited with all of those who have passed before her.  Rest in Peace, Jeanne, we all love you and will miss you.

A Life Celebration® funeral service for Jeanne, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 28th, 2025, in the Little Chapel by the Lake at Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, Texas. Visitation will be held on hour prior to the service.
