Jane C. Harris

   Jane Charlene (O'Connor) Harris, age 93, passed away in Jefferson, Texas on Friday, May 19, 2023. She was born on November 14, 1929, in Marshall, Texas to Arthur Bernard and Jennie Clare (Wolf) O'Connor.

   On May 2, 1950, she married Alton Ray Harris celebrating 48 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 9, 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Claire Ray Harris and her brothers, Richard O'Connor and Patrick O'Connor. Jane is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Ann Harris; her grandchildren, Michaela Harris, Cody Chase Howell and his wife, Elisa, and Rhory Howell; her great-grandchildren, Lane Phillips, Cole Howell, Carlie Ray Howell and Grayson Howell; numerous other family members and many close friends.

   Jane was a devout member of the Catholic Daughters. She spent years in the medical field as a nurse and also had been a Librarian. She was a cowgirl who loved training horses, and loved reading, but her true passion in life was loving, supporting and doing things with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

   Visitation for Jane will be held at Sullivan Funeral Home from 5-7pm on Monday, May 22, 2023. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
