James Patrick Voight

   James Patrick (J.P.) Voight Jr. of Harleton, Texas, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 21, 2024. He was born June 9, 1934, in Hughes Spring, Texas, to James Patrick Voight, Sr and Dolly Mae Wells Voight Pomeroy of Marshall, Texas. He married Bobbie Sue Garland Voight on September 6, 1953 (deceased). He married Mary Lee Copeland Borden Voight on March 17, 2019.
   
   He was employed by Lone Star Steel and Texas Dept of Transportation (Truck Driver). His church home was Victory Baptist Church, Marshall, Texas. J.P. really loved to fish and spending time browsing the farmer's markets and canning produce with his wife Mary Lee. He was a hard-working husband and provided for his family. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family and friends. J.P. will be greatly missed by his wife Mary Lee, his children, stepchildren, grandchildren, brother, James Ray Pomeroy; sister, Vella Mae Pace; his niece and nephew of California, Harry and Julie Bennett, and dear friend, Dwight Elardo.

   A Life Celebration® memorial service for James Patrick (J.P.) Voight, will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Victory Baptist Church in Marshall, Texas.
