Official Obituary of
James Hesser
May 6, 1930 ~ April 12, 2022 (age 91) 91 Years Old
Be the first to offer your condolences on James's Tribute Wall
James Allen Hesser was born in the Gum Springs Community on May 6, 1930. His parents were Asa and Hattie Jane Walker Hesser. He loved and was loved by his siblings, Nora Hesser Keadle, William Daniel Hesser, Carrie Hesser Wilson, and Garland Hesser. James loved God and believed in Him as his Lord and Savior and on April 9, 2022, God called him to his eternal home in Heaven. He attended Hallsville Public Schools and served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. In 1996, he retired from R. G. LeTourneau after working there for 37 years. Those left to cherish his memory are many nieces and nephews, his brother-in-law Calvin Wilson, and his closest, dearest friend and companion Ressie Faye Johnson. He will be remembered for his quiet gentle spirit, and that mischievous grin that could melt your heart. May he rest in peace and may we all be challenged to show someone else the kindness that we saw in him. Services were held at the Chapel of Cammack Family Funeral Home in Longview, April 14, 2022. Interment followed at Gum Springs Cemetery in Longview.
