James Beloney Life Story

James Carroll Beloney, a lifelong resident of Marshall, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on January 29, 1952, to the late James Edward and Vernell (Hunter) Beloney, James, known affectionately to those around him simply as James, lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his work, and his numerous passions. James was a proud graduate of Marshall High School. After graduation, he embarked on a fulfilling career with Eastman Chemical, where he dedicated his professional life until retirement. Known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor, James was a respected figure among his colleagues and within the industry. But it was not just his career that defined James; his hobbies and interests were a testament to his zest for life. From his high school years, James developed a love for woodworking, a skill he honed and cherished throughout his life. This hobby was more than just a pastime; it was a way for him to connect with others, share his creations, and express his artistic side. An outdoorsman at heart, James also found joy in hunting and fishing, embracing the serenity and excitement that came with these pursuits. His love for speed and competition was evident in his enthusiasm for Nascar and dirt track racing, which he followed with keen interest. Above all, James's true passion lay with his family and the children in his life. He was a devoted husband to his wife of ten years, Patricia Ann Beloney, and a loving father to his children, James Richey, Jeff Beloney (Dana), Heather Evans (Warren), Kelli Phillips (Oran), Brian Starr (Michelle), and Tony Starr (Katie). James was also a cherished brother to Jeanell Saxton, Betty Hughes (Ken), Brenda Grisham, and Marsha Nolen (Duane). His role as a grandfather was one he took great pride in, and he leaves behind numerous grandchildren, along with several close nieces and nephews. His ability to connect with the younger generation, to share in their joys and nurture their growth, was a gift that will be sorely missed. Sadly, James was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Beloney, his son Keith Beloney, and his grandparents. Despite these losses, he remained a pillar of strength and support for his family, demonstrating resilience and love in every aspect of his life. James's legacy is one of love, laughter, and a life well-lived. He was a man who could be counted on, a source of wisdom and humor, and a friend to many. His absence will be felt deeply, not only by his family but by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. James Carroll Beloney's memory will continue to inspire and live on in the hearts of those he touched.
