A Life Celebration for Mr. James Lamar Beasley, age 79 of Longview, Texas, will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at The Cammack Family Welch Funeral Home. A time of visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
James Lamar Beasley of Longview, TX. passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on November 22, 2024, at the age of 79 while resting at home. He is survived by his two sons James Craig Beasley and wife Holly, Marcus Shane Beasley, and his two grandsons Matthew Beasley, and Joshua Beasley.
James Lamar Beasley was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 9, 1945, to Bascom Thomas and Cleo White Beasley. James was an avid golfer and loved to play with his long-time friend Ray Butler. He had a passion for antique cars and collected many types over the years. James also loved to go bowling with his family and shoot an occasional game of pool.
He was a self-made business entrepreneur getting his start with his dear friend Kenny Allison tinting windows all over the country. Later, he operated his own shades and blinds company out of Dallas for over 20 years.
James was a loving father who enjoyed traveling to different parts of the world. He loved the Lord and could spend hours talking about the Bible to anyone who would listen. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew him.
