Herbert retired from General Motors, after being honorably discharged from the Army, in Arlington, Texas. He and Gearldine then retired to Gilmer, Texas, where they have spent the last 27 years.
Herbert loved spending time with family, working on the family farm, and finding odd and end jobs to keep himself busy. He celebrated each and every day, and will be missed by many.
