Glenn Ray Chappell age 84, passed away at home June 28, 2024, after a battle with cancer. There will be a visitation for Glenn Chappell, from 5:00 PM till 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at The Cammack Family Sullivan Funeral Tuesday Glenn Chappell was born January 26, 1940, to Acie W. Chappell and Effie L. Barton Chappell in Overton, Texas. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving 9 and a half years in Korea, France, and as a M.P. at Leavenworth, Kansas. He was decorated as an expert, sharpshooter, and marksman with the pistol, rifle, and combine. After the Army, he was employed with Thiokol for 29 years before retiring. While employed at Thiokol, he met his wife, Margie, and they married on September 20, 1968, in Overton, Texas. They were blessed with 54 years of marriage. Glenn was an avid gardener, loved to listen to all music, but mostly loved spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margie Ann Chappell; daughter, Margaret Ann Chappell; brothers, Clyde; Roy; Robert; Earl; Charles; and Cecil Chappell; and sisters, Marguriette Chappell and Linda Chappell Oard Glenn is survived by his daughter and daughter in law, Carla and Angie Chappell; granddaughter, Alexandria Ann Fielder Ogden and husband, Justin; grandson, Samuel Fielder; great granddaughter, Lilly Ann Ogden; brother, Harmon Chappell and wife, Sharon; sister, Nina Miley; sister in law Jerraldeen Parsons; and special family members Virginia, Pablo, Hector, Lucio, and Paulina Betancourt, and several dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
