Glenda Smith

Glenda Gipson Smith passed away peacefully on December 17, 2020 in Mineola, TX. She was born May 3, 1939 in Gilmer, TX to Cecil & Madge Gipson, who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Longview High School, Class of 1957. On May 27, 1961 she married Robert L. (Bob) Smith, who preceded her in death in 2004, and made their home in Longview. She was a teacher at First Christian Church PREP School for over 30 years and taught many generations of Longview families. She had been lovingly cared for by the staff at Wood Memorial Healthcare in Mineola to whom the family is eternally grateful. She loved visiting with family and friends and especially loved when Susan Kelly brought her cabbage! It was her favorite! She was an angel on earth, loved by many, and will be greatly missed.   She is survived by daughter Kerry Smith Frazier, grandchildren Dakota Sutton & Macy Frazier, great-grandson Jonathan Sutton, sister & brother-in-law Janice & Jerry Berry, nephew and niece Christopher & Monica Berry and their families, niece Jan Stanford and her family, along with many cousins and very dear friends.
