Life Story
A military graveside service for Galen Jerome Rosenow, Ret. Major US Air Force will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, August 21st, 2023 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas under pavilion number 3. Galen was born on October 16, 1931 in Madison, South Dakota and died on August 11, 2023 in Longview, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Air for 21 years entering into active duty on October 14, 1953 and retiring as a Major on December 1, 1974.
He is survived by his daughters, Mary Gage and husband, Dennis and Gail Ponce and husband, Albert; as well as grandchildren, Bryan Gage and wife, Katie, and Brittany Nix and husband Jonathon, Pamela Ponce and Albert Ponce III as well as great-grandchildren; Granger and Webb Gage, Ryder, Easton, and Emma Nix.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Doris Jane Rosenow PhD July 14, 2020.
