Fred "Freddie" Sutton Life Story

Frederick “Freddie” Wiley Sutton

Mr. Sutton was born September 23, 1940, in Longview, Tx to the late Earnest Carlos Sutton and the late Constance Lorraine Jones. He lived most of his life in White Oak, graduating from White Oak High School where he won multiple State Championships in football, basketball, and track. Freddie was voted Best Actor his Junior and Senior years in Theater and also was selected as Senior Class Vice President. It was in high school where Freddie met and fell in love with his high school sweetheart, Jean; and they were married soon after on June 18, 1960. He also enlisted in the United States Army, with that career ending in 1965. Freddie and Jean had two beautiful children, Kevin and Kristy, all while he pursued his adventures as a business owner for the next decade. His passion in sales led him to own Southwest Portable Buildings and Travel World. In the fall of 1980, Freddie was injured in an industrial accident which left him as a paraplegic. It was in these later years where he was honored to spend his time being a loving grandfather to all nine of his amazing grandchildren. He loved to spoil them rotten by watching sporting events and cheering them on from the sidelines. Left to cherish his memory are son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Ashley Sutton of White Oak; daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Jason Carr of Frisco; grandchildren, Skylar Sutton and wife, Shaley; Hayden Nichols; Slade Sutton; Kade Davis, Cayman Nichole Sutton; Cayman Ashley Sutton; and Campbell Sutton of White Oak; Ashtin and Nick Carr of Frisco; great-granddaughter, Aibree Davis; sister, Denise Steele; sisters-in-law, Judy Griffin and Sharon Richardson; brother- in-law, Mike Bills and wife, Kay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Freddie was preceded in death by his older brother, Don Sutton.

A special thank you to caregiver, Christine Stillie, who always went above and beyond to lovingly care for Freddie as family. Also we would like to thank Life Care, the director, nurses, and staff for taking such good care of him all these years.

Memorials may be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Rd., Wilton, NH 03086
