Frankie Joyce Flanagan Vaughn, born August 14, 1951, in Marshall, Texas,
passed away on November 21, 2025, at her home in Texarkana, Arkansas.
A Marshall native, Frankie graduated from Marshall High School in 1969. She
attended Kilgore College shortly after high school and later earned an Associate's
Degree in Management from Texarkana Community College, reflecting her
dedication to self-improvement.
Frankie spent most of her career in the transportation field, including 20 years of
service with the Texas Department of Transportation in Atlanta, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Vaughn; her daughter, Kim Wall;
her mother, Viola Heck Flanagan; her father, Frank Flanagan Jr.; her sister, Lee
Viola Heck; her brother, Walter Heck; and her sister-in-law, Lucy Heck and
grandson, Carter Watson.
Frankie is survived by her sister, Linda and husband David Coleman. Her
daughters Terri and husband, Jeff Peace, Tiffannee and husband, Shaun Watson,
Lindsey Eaves, and son-in-law Scott Wall. Her nieces Simmie
and husband Don Oney Jr., Serena and husband, Terry Cato, and Ginger and
husband, Jody. Her nephews Scotty and wife, Brandy VanSchoyck and Walter and
wife, Vicky Heck. Grandchildren Colton and Katy Watson, Aaron and Claire Wall,
Caleb Watson, Micah and Allie Wall, Dylan Peace, Olivia Wall, and Landry Peace,
and great-grandchildren Clayton Watson, Cheyanne Watson, Atlas Watson, Tatum
Wall, and Eleanor Wall and other family.
Frankie enjoyed cooking, singing, traveling, shopping, dancing, and crafting. She
was an active member of the Red Hats in Texarkana, participating in social
events and enjoying time with friends. Known for her independence and strong
will, Frankie lived life on her own terms and pursued the things she loved with
energy and focus.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a unique, determined, and
spirited woman who left a mark on those around her in her own way.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 28, 2028 at The Little Chapel in Colonial Gardens Cemetery in Marshall, Texas. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. till the start of the service.
