Delores Edwina "Eddie" Brady, age 80, passed away at her home in Marshall, Texas on December 7, 2023. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on February 12, 1943 to Anna Marguerite and Edwin Hayden Brady. Eddie is preceded in death by her parents and her devoted partner in life for over 50 years, Bunny Key; her brothers, Charles Brady and wife, Alise Brady, Rocky Brady and Randy Brady. She is survived by her sister, Peggy McGowen and her husband, Maurice; her brother, Mike Brady and his wife, Susan; her son, Kelly Key and his wife, Shelley; her granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Beard; her nephew who she considered a son, Rocky Erik Brady; her great-niece who she considered a grandchild, Evelyn Brady; other nieces and nephews, Marci and Jeff Daly, Micqui McGowen, Laura and Kent Sommerfeld, Jeff and Sheri Brady, Dan and Lori Herrington, Jason and Tanya Herrington, Colin and Patti Brady and Marsha Brady and many other family members and friends who knew and loved her. Eddie's life was always an adventure. She was very sports minded, fun loving and ready for something new to pursue. She loved the outdoors, gardening, bird watching and hunting. She was previously a part owner of Ocean, Inc. where she was a scuba instructor and a deepwater welder. She loved riding motorcycles, loved the casino, loved her time coaching youth soccer for a few years; was very active in playing softball and golf for many years, serving as President of the Shallow Creek Ladies Golf Association for several years. Eddie retired from SWEPCO after 25 years and thoroughly enjoyed her retirement years doing exactly whatever she loved at the moment and enjoying her Thursday Lunch Gang. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and attended SFA and University of Houston. A celebration of Eddie's life will be held at a date and time to be announced. Honorary pallbearers, per her request, will be all women; Jan Cunningham, Valli Thompson, Nellie Davis, Trenia Haynes, Barbara McCay and Alicia Nolte. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Eddie's name to A Touch of Pink, Breast Cancer Foundation, 100 W. Grand Avenue, Suite A, Marshall, TX 75670.
