Edith Koon Low Life Story

Edith Holcomb Koon Low, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 21. 2020; she was born on November 2, 1933, in Gilmer, Texas. She was one of 15 children born to John Thomas and Jewel Holcomb.
Edith was a homemaker until the age of 35, when she went to work and discovered she had a passion for retail, "not everyone's cup of tea" but, she loved it and customers loved her. Whether it was at Texas Gold Stamp Center in the Valley or at Griffins Jewelry and McCarleys Jewelry in Longview. Mom had a strong work ethic, and working with the public gave her much joy for many years.
Edith is survived by her "3 good kids" as she always said, Tansil Susanne Griffin (Terry), Carrie Ann Startz (Richard) and Henry Clayton (Clay) Koon 3rd; two grandchildren, Jason Eric Woodward and Kelly Elaine Ford (Jonathan) and by four great-grandchildren, Isabel, Victoria, Katherine and Virginia Woodward. She is also survived by one brother and four sisters and numerous nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her parents, 6 of her brothers, 1 sister and also by her first husband and father of her 3 children, Henry Clayton Koon Jr. and her second husband, Herbert D. Low.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at The Cammack Family Welch Funeral Home in Longview, Texas.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 26, 2020, at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel. A private interment will follow at the Hallsville City Cemetery.

Our Beautiful "Strong" Mother will be Forever Missed, Always Loved, and Never Forgotten. Rest Peacefully Mom Till We Meet Again
