Doris Ann Dubberly

Funeral services for Doris Stone Martin Dubberly, 84 of 1929 Blueridge Parkway, Longview, TX will be held at 2:00pm, November 9, 2019 at the Welch Funeral Home in the Garden Chapel with John Wesley Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Summerfield Methodist Cemetery, Judson, TX. The family will receive friends for visitation at the Welch Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 7:00pm the 8th of November 2019.
Doris Dubberly was born June 11, 1935 to Johnny E Stone and Selma Hughleen Ellington in Pittsburg, TX. She married HB Dubberly on July 17, 1990, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her brother Bobby Stone. She is survived by her brother Don E Stone and sons Charles (Chuck) Martin, Cheri (wife) and Allan Martin, Lisa (wife) and daughter Kathy Grayless, David (husband) all of Longview, TX. Her grandchildren Nicole Martin of Longview, Clint Martin, Maiya (wife) of Anchorage, AK, Aaron Martin of Longview, Tyler Martin of Austin, TX. Her great-grandchildren Landon and Kayla Martin of Anchorage, AK and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and entertainer and a member of the VFW Auxiliary of Jefferson, TX and Elmira Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Longview, TX. She always enjoyed spreading her love of music and song to people. Doris was never without a song in her heart and her beloved guitar was never far away. Ask any of her children, nieces, nephews and grandchildren, they all remember her singing and encouraging everyone to sing along.
Serving as pall bearers are Clint Martin, Aaron Martin, Tyler Martin, Lynn Simpson, Billy Simpson and Lane Brown.
The family request memorials be made to Heritage Hospice and the American Cancer Society.
